JOHN STEPHENSON MEMORIAL TRAIL

John B. Stephenson Memorial Trail is a very important part of our trail system.  it's located near the center of town and serves as a connector to all of the

other trail systems IN TOWN

the trail itself is a 2.1 mile out and back trail.  the recently added shortline pike multi use path is a 1 mile stretch connecting stephenson trail to indian fort trail, which is also 1 mile to reach the indian fort parking lot.  you're also able to travel southwest following the creek to silver creek drive which will lead you to brushy fork trail and put you onto boone trace.

speaking of boone trace.. THIS SITE HAS HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE AS WELL. BRUSHY FORK & SILVER CREEK MERGE AT THE BRIDGE, THIS PATH WAS FOLLOWED BY THE FIRST PIONEERS OF KENTUCKY.

the trail is all paved and easily accessible.  there are several sitting areas and sites to see along the way.  so whether you're getting exercise, going out with the family, or just passing through, you'll enjoy this area!
