Indian Fort Mountain Trails

The Indian Fort Mountain Trail system is home to some of the best hiking trails in the state! It's known for "The Pinnacles" where you can lookout from either the East or the West.

There are over 12 miles of connected trail that take you through various ecosystems and tons of breathtaking views atop rock bluffs. Most trails range from 1-2 miles with the longest being a 6 mile in & out trail.  There are primitive walls, natural arches, a robust wildlife and so much more to see along the way!

The area is managed by Berea College and is the heart of the Berea College Forrest.  You'll also find the Forestry Outreach Center building next to the trail head which offers a unique look at the history of the land and it's importance to the area.  If you're in the mood to hike & bike there is a paved trail that will get you there from town.

If you're Berea Bound it is a must for you to check out these trails!
